Make traditional Irish bread in this two-hour home baking workshop.

Set in the heart of the Ulster Folk Museum, a place where heritage skills are celebrated and kept alive, you’ll be guided by Margaret, one of our expert visitor guides, in the cosy surroundings of Cruckaclady Farmhouse

Gather around the table while Margaret guides you in traditional Irish bread making. You'll make soda bread with treacle, fruit and savoury fillings, as well as potato bread cooked on the griddle. You’ll also learn how to bake a loaf in a traditional black pot, nestled under the fire, covered and surrounded by embers.

Don’t forget to bring a container as there’ll be plenty of homemade treats to take home!
